The Minister of Health, Ehanire has said that a good number of the 113 infected with Coronavirus are health workers in private hospitals.
The minister revealed this during a media briefing on Thursday, April 30, 2020 and he stated that most of the health workers don’t use adequate protective gears. He discouraged health workers in private hospitals from treating coronavirus patients especially without proper training.
“If you hear us speaking here frequently about trying to treat coronavirus in private clinics, we’re actually referring to people who do so without having necessary precaution and training.
“They risk infecting themselves and go over and give this infection to their family and that is not the right thing,” he said.
Recall that Osagie Ehanire reported last week that the number of health workers with Coronavirus in Nigeria stood at 40, this new report sees that number rise to 113.
