288 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria.
In a tweet by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the agency revealed that 179 of that number were recorded in Lagos, 20 in Kaduna, 15 each in Katsina and Jigawa, 13 in Borno, 11 in Ogun, 8 in Kano, 7 in FCT, 4 each in Niger and Ekiti, 3 each in Oyo, Delta and Bauchi, 2 in Kwara, and 1 in Edo.

That brings the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria to 5445, with 1320 discharged, and 171 deaths recorded.
Meanwhile, due to the increase in number of confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria many State governments are considering locking down their states to contain the virus. Ogun State government has already extended the lockdown in the state for one more week to contain the virus.
