Popular filmmaker and comedian, AY says he is no longer interested in trying to resolve the 17 year beef with his colleague, Basketmouth.
The rift began after Basketmouth refused to pay him N30,000 for a MC job he did at a wedding, but Basketmouth gave a response to this claim, saying that about 90 per cent of AY’s claims were lies.
Since that is now in the past, AY has been trying to reconcile with Basketmouth, but to no avail, and he is ready to detach himself henceforth.
According to him, some senior colleagues in the industry are aware of his efforts to reconcile with Basketmouth, and they told him to stop forcing reconciliation, since Basketmouth was proving difficult.
Ayodeji Richard Makun, popularly known as AY started his career in 2006, where he was known for mimicking Rev. Chris Okotie in his hilarious jokes.
He has since grown into his craft, as he is known for his annual AY Live shows every December, and he has featured in few of his movies like, 30 days in Atlanta, Merry Men, Trip to Jamaica, Christmas in Miami, 10 days in Sun City amongst others.
He was made a U.N Peace Ambassador in 2009, and he is also the CEO of Corporate World Entertainment Nigeria.
