Romelu Lukaku has joined AS Roma on loan from Chelsea for the season, as he re-unites with Jose Mourinho for the third time in his career.
The Belgian was with Mourinho at Chelsea during the 2013/14 season, before re – joining him at Manchester United in 2017.
30 year-old Lukaku, who recently turned down a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League, was convinced with the Roma project before joining them, and he hopes to help the team achieve success this season.
He helped Inter Milan reach the UEFA Champions League final last season, while he was on loan with them, and he scored 15 goals in 44 appearances last season.
He won the Belgian championship with Anderlecht, an FA Cup and a Club World Cup title with Chelsea, and a Scudetto, an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup with Inter Milan.
