Brothers Unite in China as Mikel and Ighalo played against each other for thier clubs.


Odion Ighalo continued his goalscorer form for his clubside as he netted his 12th goal of the season last night for Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League in their 5-1 demolition of Mikel Obi’s Tianjin Teda.

Anzur Ismailov opened the scoring for Yatai in the 25th minute before Brazilian attacker, Marinho doubled the lead from Ighalo’s assist in the 38th minute.

Chinese defender Rui Yu also added to the tally in the 43rd minute, Fan Xiaodong made it 4-0 for Yatai in the 48th minute. Ighalo put his name on the score-sheet in the 69th minute, while Yuanyi Li scored Tianjin Teda’s consolatory goal on the stroke of 90 minutes to end the game 5-1 at full time


Super Eagles captain, Mikel bagged a yellow in the 62nd minute as they lost the game at home.

Both scored for Nigeria against Cameroon in the World Cup Qualifiers where the Eagles won by four goals to nil but went on to draw in Cameroon.
