The Lagos State Police Command released a communique last night, to sound a warning to any group or persons trying to stage a protest around the Lekki Toll Gate axis.
This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, on his official X handle.
Since the incident that happened at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20 2020, some youths have made it a point of duty to converge and protest in honour of the lives lost on that fateful day.
The Police have a duty to protect lives and properties, as they have warned that any form of protest can be hijacked by hoodlums, and this can lead to anarchy in the country.

Several civil society organisations are set to embark on a peaceful march today, in a bid to commemorate the third anniversary of the event.
