Earlier today, Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, inaugurated members of the Imo State management board and visitation panels to Imo State University, Imo State Polytechnic and Imo State University Teaching Hospital.
According to the governor who posted these new developments on his Twitter page, the setting up of these Institutions’ Visitation panels is in furtherance of the mission to rebuild the state’s educational and health institutions.

“I tasked the panels to carry out a comprehensive assessment of our institutions of higher learning.
The setting up of these Institutions’ Visitation panels is in furtherance of our mission to rebuild our educational institutions.
Also, we are putting in place a plan of action to upgrade the General Hospitals in Orlu, Okigwe, Aboh Mbaise and Awo Omamma into the status of specialist hospitals in specific areas of medical specialization.
This has become necessary to enhance the quality of education and health care delivery, as well as ensure the overall growth and development of our dear state.
