The Imo State Covid-19 Task Force has declared Imo Covid-19 free after it discharged the remaining 4 cases in the state.
This was revealed by the head of the Imo Covid-19 Task Force, Prof. Maurice Iwu. Iwu in a statement on Tuesday, 19th May, 2020 stated that all the Covid-19 persons have been discharged from the Imo State isolation center and at the moment the state is free from Coronavirus.
“We are pleased to announce that all the COVID19 persons have been discharged from the Imo State isolation center. At the moment Imo State is free from conoravírus. We enjoin all citizens to continue to adhere to all the precautionary measures we have put in place to continue to safeguard all Imolites”, Iwu said.
Recall that Imo previously had a total of 7 cases of Covid-19. 3 were discharged on 16th May, 2020 and the remaining 4 cases discharged on 19th May, 2020.
