The Imo State House of Assembly Complex has been shut down following reports that an Imo Lawmaker had tested positive for Coronavirus.
The reports came from the Imo State Taskforce Committee on COVID-19 on Tuesday announcing the shut down of the House of Assembly complex following a COVID-19 scare.
Prof. Iwu further stated while addressing journalists in Owerri that Assembly complex would be shut for two weeks for fumigation and to enable other lawmakers and their aides to self isolate. According to him the lawmaker and his wife had already been isolated and samples of the entire members of the House of Assembly, their aides and staff have been taken and results being awaited.
The committee announced the death of a woman who died of Covid-19 after being delivered of her twin babies whose sample results came back negative.
