Imo records second Covid-19 case as NCDC announces 238 new cases in Nigeria


Imo State has recorded a second case of Covid-19 as the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announces 238 new cases.

According to a tweet on it’s official Twitter account, the 238 new cases are as follows: 92 in Kano, 36 in FCT, 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi, 8 in Delta, 6 in Oyo, 5 each in Zamfara and Sokoto, 4 each in Ondo and Nasarawa, 3 each in Kwara, Edo Ekiti, Borno and Yobe, 2 in Adamawa, and 1 each in Niger, Imo, Ebonyi, Rivers and Enugu.

Discharged: 351. Deaths: 68, the NCDC tweeted.


Imo State had recorded one case before now and this makes it the second Coronavirus case in the state. Altogether, that brings the total number of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria to 2170, with 351 discharged and 68 deaths recorded.
