Infantino discuss 2026 World Cup plans with Trump


Gianni Infantino has met with US president, Donald Trump to discuss the 2026 World Cup which is to be jointly held alongside Mexico and Canada after the bid won 134 votes compared to 65 for Morocco in 2018.

The last time America hosted the World Cup was in 1994, ‘USA 94’.

Infantino also visited the offices of the US Department of Justice (DOJ), thanking the US authorities for their work in the fight against corruption in football.

The next World Cup finals will be in Qatar two years from now.
