Yesterday, 2nd July, 2020, WorkChop, an innovative Startup platform providing co-working spaces, private offices, virtual offices for businesses, start-ups, and individuals launched in Owerri, Imo state.
It’s an exciting news because it has added to the number of co-working spaces currently operating in Owerri, thereby reducing the number of unemployed youths and providing comfortable working spaces for individuals and businesses who have continually used hotels and restaurants for business meetings due to a lack of a convenient working space.
With a sizable virtual office, a boardroom that can take up to 15 people with the provision of a projector, and a general work space that can take up to 35 people or more, WorkChop seeks to take the co-working space business to a whole new level in Owerri.
The upside of this new space is that it is fully furnished with state of the art office equipments, fully air-conditioned, has steady power supply, unlimited high-speed internet, a cheerful staff, receptionist service, and a daily courtesy coffee for the users. It also provides funding of up to N250,000 every quarter to the start-up with the most innovative ideas. Now that is some motivation!
What seems to be the downsides, however, is that it looks tight and that means that privacy may be an issue especially in the general work space. Also the absence of a lounge for relaxation in between works and where visitors can be hosted may pose a little problem for WorkChop. This problem can easily be solved though if there can be more spaces between desks, or the provision of fewer seats in the general work space. Asides these, WorkChop is an excellent place to conduct businesses and have a great working experience.
Their Twitter handle is @WorkchopNG and their office address is No. 46 Wetheral Road, Owerri before DarlingFM. You can also reach them via +2348133324385.
