An unusual news is circulating the social media space right now, as Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola will not be on the touchline until after the international break, following a surgery on a back problem.
The club confirmed the news on their social media page, as assistant manager, Juanma Lillo will oversee coaching of the first-team and assume touchline duties until Guardiola’s return.

An operation was done in Barcelona today, and no further details on the outcome of the surgery has been provided to the public.
The treble winners have started the season strong already, as they have won their first two EPL games of the campaign so far, not forgetting the UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla this month.
Juanma Lillo re-joined City’s coaching staff in August 2023, after Enzo Maresca left to become the manager of Leicester City immediately after the end of last season.
