Plateau State Police Command has arrested a 17 year-old boy for kidnapping and killing his neighbour’s 5 year-old son after collecting N400,000 ransom.
5 year-old Dawon Pam was kidnapped last month, and all searches to get the boy was abortive, until a handwritten note was found close to the house stating, “If you want this child, give us Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00) and that he should not call them but he should send a text message through the phone number below”.
Dawon’s parents paid four hundred thousand naira (N400,000.00), but the boy was killed, and his body was dumped in a swampy place close to an uncompleted building.
Elisha Anthony has admitted to the crime, as he claimed that he and his accomplice, Malik received the money, but still strangled the boy to death.
Elisha, who is still in SS3, is presently in the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command, and investigations are still going on.
