Nigerian skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi popularly known as Trinity Guy, has regained his freedom, after several weeks in detention following extreme pranks.
The Ibadan based comedian was arrested on June 22, after a video of him asking a 10-year-old girl to describe his genitals went viral, and it caused a bit of stir on social media.
According to the police, the offence violated Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.
The girl’s parents, Isiaka Ahmed (40), and Rofiat Ahmed (29) were also remanded in the correctional facility by the Magistrate, Mrs. P. O. Adetuyibi, pending when the case will be held in court.
They were all detained at the Agodi correctional center in Ibadan, following an order from the Oyo state Family Court.
Maruf Abdullahi was born on the 11th day of November, 1994 alongside his triplet brother and sister.
